Chef Hiro's Salmon Rice Bowl

INGREDIENTS

  • 2x 4-5 oz Bakkafrost Salmon portions
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Thumb-size ginger
  • 4 tbs soy sauce (gluten-free optional)
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • ½ tbs sesame oil
  • 3 leaves of fresh oba
  • 2 cups rice

 

OPTIONAL
  • 1 avocado
  • Spicy mayo
  • Eel sauce
  • Sriracha
  • Sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Slice the garlic and ginger and mix with soy sauce, olive oil and sesame oil.

STEP 2

Season the salmon portions with salt and pepper on both sides.

STEP 3

Cover the salmon portions with the gingery mixture. Make sure all sides of the salmon portions are fully covered.

STEP 4

Cook the salmon portions in an air fryer for 10 minutes in 350°F.  While the salmon is in the air fryer, cook the rice.

STEP 5

When the salmon is done cooking, place on a cutting board and pull it apart into small pieces.

STEP 6

Place the rice and the sliced oba leaves in the bowl with the pulled salmon, and mix it all together. Slice an avocado, and plate the salmon and rice with the avocados.
